Metal Halide light bulbs are a type of high intensity discharge light. They are specialized for bright white illumination, typically used to light stadiums, construction sites, and parking lots. Because of how they operate, they generally require a warm-up period to reach full brightness.
Satco's model S4866 light bulb uses 150W of power, with a brightness of 12000LM lumens. It fits a Recessed Single Contact base, and produces a soft white light.
