Fluorescent light bulbs, commonly referred to as "tubes," come in linear, circular, and u-shaped bulbs that require an external ballast to power. They are ideal for use in offices, warehouses, auditoriums, and other areas that need a large area of light. Because they produce about 75% less heat than incandescent bulbs, they keep indoor areas they light relatively cool compared to high-wattage, traditional lights.
Satco's model S7906 light bulb uses 24W of power, with a brightness of 2040LM lumens. It fits a Mini Bi-pin (G5) base, and produces a cool white light. With typical use, it would last about 10000 hours on average before requiring a replacement. It came with a standard manufacturer's warranty, and its UPC was 045923079061.
